The Swedish Ethical Review Authority
In Sweden, certain types of research must, by law, undergo ethical review before the research is allowed to start. The review is carried out by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority. In addition to this authority, there is a central ethical board whose main task is to review any appeals against the decisions of the regional ethical review boards.
