If researchers at Lund University carry out or participate in animal-based research in countries outside Sweden, and the responsible researcher at LU suspects that the terms for the relevant animal handling differ from the principles that permeate the EU directives, then participation in such projects must first be evaluated and approved by Lund University’s animal welfare committee.
